Parent Information Night - Problem Solving for Gifted Children

I am excited to announce a new event which I will be hosting together with the Gifted Support Network.

This evening will commence with a short talk from me on the benefits of Problem Solving for Gifted Children. Your chid’s teacher is also very welcome to attend and supper and a range of outstanding resources will be available.

I hope you are able to attend - here are the details:

  • Thursday, 11 March,  7:30 to 9:00 pm
  • Southern Community Church of Christ, Cnr Chesterville Rd & Pine Street, Cheltenham 3192 (Melways ref 86 J1)

Are you keen to find great activities for children with lively young minds?  Do you enjoy challenging yourself to solve tricky maths and logic problems?

This evening will provide a range of hands-on maths and logic problems for you to have a go at and take away for your children.

There will be a large range of levels to select from including easy problems - for younger children (Kinder, Prep etc) or beginners - through to hard problems - for adolescents and adults keen for a challenge.  Penny Willoughby, of Thinking Outside The Box Professional Education Services, will be there to introduce the evening

with some thoughts on why problem solving is ideal for clever brains.  Penny will also be available to help parents solve tricky problems and suggest ideas for how to use them with your children.

This evening has a small entry fee of $10 ($5 for members of the Gifted Support Network) to cover costs. These events usually fill fast and bookings are essential by texting Louise Broadbent on 0414 578 806 or emailing admin@giftedsupport.org by Wednesday, 10 March, 2015.

I look forward to seeing you there.

- Penny.
